Submersible Probe for Water Quality Measurement

The WiMo range of submersible probes allows the measurement of up to 20 physicochemical parameters representative of water quality for a wide range of environmental and sanitary monitoring applications, in fresh and marine waters.

WiMo probes offer various high accuracy digital sensors selected according to the needs of each application and include an intelligent cleaning brush.

They can be used as stand-alone systems or connected to external devices for real-time measurement and alert.

WiMo probes are particularly characterized by their flexibility of use and maintenance, as well as by their proven robustness in the most severe field conditions.

Applications

Any need for environmental and sanitary monitoring of fresh and marine water quality, for the prevention of bacteriological risks and pollution:

  • Bathing waters (lakes, rivers, coastal areas)
  • Treated wastewater discharges
  • Catchment areas and reservoirs intended for drinking water supply
  • Monitoring of accidental pollution, cyanobacteria (blue green algae), etc.
  • Measurement of the impact of maritime and river works, port projects

WiMo probes are also commonly used for scientific purposes, such as salinity and turbidity measurements for hydrodynamic model setup.

Thanks to their integrated temperature and water pressure sensors, they can also be used as simple loggers, without associated physicochemical sensors (e.g., wave and tide loggers).

Main benefits

  • Flexibility:
    — choice of sensors according to the application (up to 7 sensors)
    — use in autonomous mode (integrated datalogger), with or without telemetry, or as simple digital sensors connected to an existing control system (Modbus communication)
    — installation on any type of support, including buoys and autonomous or remote-controlled mobile systems (USV, AUV, ROV)
  • Robustness: marine corrosion resistance (sensors with titanium body), immersion to 250 m depth
  • Anti-fouling protection
  • Smart multi-sensor automatic wiping system (automatic recognition of the sensors to be cleaned)
  • Precision and very low drift of the sensors
  • Possibility of calibration by the user (calibration tool provided by NKE)
  • WiFi connectivity, compatible with all platforms (PCs, tablets, smart phones)
  • User-friendly web interface for configuration and operation
  • Automatic recognition of sensors ('Plug and Play'), connections and disconnections possible without shutting down the probe
  • Calculation of advanced parameters from raw measurements
