HWM's Pressure Transient Logger (PTL) has been specifically designed for the investigation and recording of water hammer events or pressure breaks in pipelines.
The PTL can be used for temporary measurement campaigns to identify the source of pressure anomalies observed on a network, as well as permanent instrumentation to prevent major incidents; its integrated telemetry functions can then alert operators in the event of abnormal changes.
The investigation of water hammers is therefore no longer a temporary activity and can be integrated into the general monitoring of the network, just like pressure or flow measurements.
Water hammers are detected immediately, allowing faster interventions and limiting damage to the infrastructure.
