NRV Radar Sensor

A New Generation of Low-Energy Sensors

The new generation of NRV radar level sensors from Paratronic are characterized by their small emission angle and very low power consumption.

These features make it the ideal product for applications in confined or congested spaces, as well as on sites with no power supply. For example, the NRV is often used in conjunction with stand-alone battery or solar-powered acquisition systems.

The NRV is available in different measurement ranges, with 4-20mA analog or Modbus Serial digital outputs.

Applications

The NRV is commonly used to measure surface water levels in natural environments (rivers, dams, lakes...) or in sewerage networks (pumping stations, overflow structures...).

In general, it can be used for any level measurement application without immersion and without contact with liquids, particularly when there are problems of limited space or power supply.

Main benefits

  • Small emission angle (+/-4° by +/- 6°). Ideal for restricted or congested spaces.
  • Low power consumption and very low heating time. Ideal for sites without power supply.
  • Available with 4-20 mA analog or digital Modbus outputs.
  • High immunity to power surges and rapid transients
  • Accuracy unaffected by the presence of moisture or condensation
  • Advanced processing algorithms allowing measurements on effluents loaded with foams, greases...
  • Possibility to set up measurement exclusion zones (obstacles in the measurement cone...)
