Full Profile Multi-Electrode Insertion Flowmeter

The TORPEE-MAG is a hot tap full profile electromagnetic insertion flowmeter. Multiple electrodes placed across the entire sensor body at equal area, measure and report the average flow rate over the full diameter of the pipe.

This specific design of the multi-electrode sensor, unique on the market, compensates for variable flow profiles, including swirl and turbulent conditions, and allows installation without calibration on site.

The choice of materials, for both the rod (carbon fiber) and the electrode sets (graphite), makes TORPEE-MAG an extremely robust and corrosion resistant product.

The TORPEE-MAG is available in an externally powered version and in a standalone battery-powered version.

The TORPEE-MAG is the most economical flow metering solution for medium and large pipe sizes, reducing drastically installation costs, while rivaling the performance of a full-bore meter.

    — via standard display converter: 4-20mA, Pulses, Alarms and (optional) Hart or digital Modbus RS485
    — via specific converter: Encoder (compatible with Sensus, Neptune, Elster AMR/AMI technologies)
